Puppit + Digit

In late 2011, as part of digital arts company Polymathematics, I was asked to create a piece of street theatre to be included, amongst other events, in the 2012 Olympic Torch Relay celebrations.

The brief called for something that engaged audiences in a unique and innovative way whilst staying true to the Olympic and Paralympic values.

Our response was Puppit and Digit, two robots who've come to Earth to learn all about the human race. These characters would be realised as life-sized, robot-style puppets with embedded interactive audio visual technology that allowed anyone they met to share stories with them through writing, photography and video.

This film shows the production process and the response we got when we took them on the road!
